The Jacksonville Jaguars is the most successful expansion franchise in NFL history -- four playoff appearances in the team's first five seasons. This is not a cheap success.
Jaguars' owner Wayne Weaver brought the NFL to Jacksonville with a passion to win. With a total of five playoff berths, two division titles, and two AFC Championship game appearances, Weaver has built this young franchise around success.
When change became necessary, he directed an overhaul of the all-football operations to refocus the organization on its goal - winning championships. Mr. Weaver's thinking is based on the Vince Lombardi's aphorism: "Winning Isn't Everything, It's The Only Thing"
The Jacksonville Jaguars may be a high-profile professional sports organization. However, when it comes to IT, they are very similar to most other companies and organizations - limited staff, limited resources, and a growing number of critical Business Processes that simply must be working all the time.
Mr. Mike Webb, Jaguars' technical guru, is responsible for all critical Business Processes.
Like most companies before Argent arrived, Mike was often reacting to critical Business Process failures only after his users called him. Then, there was a mad scramble to address the problems.
